If you watch satellite TV with a Linux based receiver running enigma2 firmware
and you used to create your channel lists from
kingofsat.net using
this kind of tool
but you discovered that there is more to it, then read on.
The only thing you need is a working Linux environment. If you don't have it, create it. You download a
liveCD image,
you write it to a USB flash memory and use it to boot your PC.
This script uses the standard Linux commands wget to retrieve
the kingofsat.net data and especially sed to parse the data. To execute,
download it,
give it the right permissions (chmod 755 kingofsat.sh) and type kingofsat.sh. No parameters required. The output
is created in a file called Services_KingOfSat_ALL.txt in the directory where you executed the script.
You will see that only 19.2E, 23.5E and 28.2E satellites are processed. You can modify the list
at the beginning of the script to suit your needs. Piece of cake.
Don't worry if the script takes some time to finish. It's a hell of a job to convert a satellite.
